Meet Our Team

Tyler is the heart of the Brooks Healing Center; his vision is to guide others to find their own recovery and to thrive in life. Tyler was fortunate to have lived through his addiction and now finds fulfillment in serving others. Tyler has worked in the substance abuse field since 2015 and felt convicted to build a place where individuals are loved until they can learn to love themselves. Tyler has the love and support of his family as he continues to provide care to those who have lost themselves along the way.

Tyler is the father of three daughters, Charlotte, Isabella, and Olivia. Tyler’s wife, Gina, supports the Brooks Healing Center’s vision, and she shares his passion for helping others as well. Tyler has a story to tell and is willing to share his experiences, good or bad, with anyone. Tyler feels that Brooks Healing Center is the way he gives back for all he took when he was using. For the past seven years, Tyler has gone above and beyond to share his recovery and loves the life that recovery has provided him.

Colleen Believes servitude towards others provides a solid foundation for personnel and professional growth. She is a calm problem solver who juggles multiple situations simultaneously and works with confidence and ease in even the most challenging, fast-paced environments. She is highly regarded for her consistent ability to apply sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and etiquette to sensitive, confidential, and unpredictable situations. She is an organized, professional, and resourceful seasoned healthcare professional with diverse skills for boosting organizational productivity and quality of care initiatives.

Colleen has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration with a minor in health care administration from Trevecca Nazarene University. She has been married for 32 years to Doyle Bradford, and they have two sons, Thomas and Allen Bradford. Along with two grandchildren Ben and Faith Bradford. She is excited to have this unique opportunity to serve her community. She is a phenomenal cookie baker and mother figure to those at the Brooks Healing Center. We are honored to have her as a part of our vision.

Cady Fields is the Executive Assistant and Human Resources Coordinator at Brooks Healing Center. Cady graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations in 2020. She is currently pursuing her MBA at MTSU.

Cady has been in recovery herself since 2018, and she has a passion for helping patients and employees reach their full potential as they learn to navigate life’s challenges. When she is not working, Cady enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with her family, and helping others in recovery.

Michael J Crow is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with credentialling in multiple discipline areas who believes in evidence based, patient centered care. With 14 years of experience in medicine, including specialty experience in critical care, urgent care, primary care, and nephrology, he has a broad training in numerous areas of potential patient care areas.

He graduated from the University of Alabama’s Family Nurse Practitioner School in the top 3% of national exam testing. He has membership in the Tennessee Nurses Association, American Nurses Credentialling Center, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association, and American Nephrology Nurses Association. He spends his free time with his wife and four children doing outdoor activities and service work, with a passion for off road racing.

Jennifer Todd, RN is the Nurse Manager at Brooks Healing Center. A Tennessee native, Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1998 from Middle Tennessee State University. Prior to joining Brooks Healing Center, she had over twenty years of experience working in a hospital setting caring for a varied patient population.

She is a proponent of patient centered care and has served in various leadership roles. Jennifer loves watching the positive transformation of her patients and is proud to be a part of the BHC team. When not at work, Jennifer enjoys traveling, reading historical fiction, and exploring natural areas with her husband and twin sons.

Susan joined our team December 2021 as Executive Chef. She was born and raised in Southern middle Tennessee. She prides herself in providing well balanced meals and comfort foods to clients as they navigate the road to recovery.  She has an Associate Degree and over 27 years of experience in nutrition and food services. She is ServSafe certified,  has certificates in leadership, and has extensive training in produce safety and selection.

When Susan is not at work, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes and exploring new restaurants. She also enjoys spending time with her daughter, hiking, photography, and cruising the country back roads.

Amanda joined the BHC team in September 2022 as the Community Liaison. She is a Knoxville native that moved to Middle Tennessee in 2017. She is currently pursuing a business degree at Middle Tennessee State University.

In her leisure time, Amanda enjoys hiking and exploring new outdoor adventures. Amanda has been in recovery since November 2017, and is excited to be able to give back to the recovery community by being part of the BHC team.

Terry has embarked upon a career in behavioral health with a focus on substance use and co- occurring disorders. Terry’s passion for those he serves and his ability to foster healthy relationships is a culmination of roles previously held in customer service and community volunteer work. The career transition from customer service and community volunteer work to substance use disorder treatment is exemplary of Terry’s evolution as an individual who has found his calling.

As an Admissions Coordinator at Addiction Campuses, Terry further honed his communication skills and his ability to establish professional relationships, in addition to mastering the complex nuances of insurances and SUD treatment placement. To better prepare himself for a career in addictions, Terry transitioned from Addiction Campuses to Buffalo Valley Treatment Center as a Treatment Navigator to gain direct service experience and build his professional repertoire. Terry is vested in the work of SUD treatment and taking active steps to prepare to take the LADAC exam. Terry’s steep learning curve and his ability to establish rapport make him a great fit here at Brooks Treatment Center.

How We Began

Our mission stems directly from the heart of our founder, Tyler Bowman. Tyler has lived several years in recovery and wants to give back to the community that has been an integral part of his life. Tyler and others founded Brooks Healing Center so that no one feels alone on their journey.

Healing addiction can feel daunting, especially when rooted in complicated traumatic events and overwhelming emotions. Having a team of experts who understand the nuances and complexities of recovery is vital to ensuring long-term recovery.
