Brooks Healing Center provides adults and families from Memphis and communities throughout Shelby County with access to a connected addiction-treatment continuum at our Normandy, Tennessee campus. A patient who requires medical stabilization can begin with detox in Normandy, continue into residential treatment at the same campus, and step down into clinical PHP without rebuilding the treatment plan with an unrelated program. PHP housing and sober living in Tullahoma can provide additional structure when returning directly to Memphis is not yet the strongest option.

Brooks’ clinical Partial Hospitalization Program is operated at the Normandy campus. PHP is an intensive daytime level of care for adults who are medically stable and no longer require round-the-clock residential supervision but still need substantial therapeutic structure.
Some patients enter PHP after completing residential treatment. Others may begin with PHP when an assessment determines that they do not need detoxification or 24-hour residential care.
Eligible PHP participants may use Brooks’ recovery-oriented housing in Tullahoma outside clinical hours. The distinction is important: clinical PHP is provided in Normandy, while PHP housing is located in Tullahoma.
Brooks also operates sober living in Tullahoma for people prepared to manage more independence, employment, community meetings, household responsibilities, medications, and preparation for permanent housing.
Brooks does not directly operate an Intensive Outpatient Program. Any continuing-care decisions involving services outside Brooks are discussed privately with the patient.
Two people using the same substance may require entirely different levels of care. One person may face dangerous withdrawal. Another may be medically stable but repeatedly return to use because of trauma, depression, an unsafe home, or immediate access to substances. Someone else may have completed treatment before but returned to Memphis without enough structure or a specific follow-up plan.

Medication-assisted treatment may be incorporated for eligible patients with opioid or alcohol use disorders when clinically appropriate. Medication is one part of a broader plan that may also include therapy, medical care, recovery education, relapse-prevention work, peer connection, and continuing support.
Care may also address co-occurring depression, anxiety disorders, trauma-related symptoms, PTSD, bipolar symptoms, grief, shame, sleep disruption, and emotional dysregulation when those needs can be safely managed within Brooks’ addiction-treatment setting.
Brooks is not the appropriate setting for every medical or psychiatric presentation. Admissions will review the current circumstances and will be direct when emergency stabilization, acute psychiatric care, or another type of specialty care is required first.
